Corfu

Villa Helanes is located in the geographical area defined as Central Corfu. It spans from the east to the west coast of the island and includes Corfu Town, many of Corfu’s important cultural monuments and some of the most celebrated Blue Flag beaches in Greece.

Villa Helanes sits on a small hill just off the main road which runs across the centre of the island from north to south, though the Ropa valley. Villa Helanes is at a crucible of sorts from east to west and north to south, making it central to every direction of Corfu Island you might wish to explore.

Vineyards, pine forests and fertile land describe Corfu’s central countryside with traditional villages away from the more developed coastline, scattered across the landscape.

The hilltop village of Pelekas is a stone’s throw away and is characterised by it’s rich cultural heritage, music and good food, only after having marvelled at one of Greece’s most famous sunset spots.

There are some popular beach bars on nearby beaches like Pazuzu in Glyfada and Nagual in Kontogyalos. While in Corfu you might also want to try multi award winning restaurant Etrusco, La Cucina in Corfu Town and Taverna Stamatis in Vyros.

From Villa Helanes it easy to get to some of Central Corfu’s cultural and historical moments without needing to use the busy roads through Corfu Town. You can get to Achilleon Palace through the countryside quicker than one would from Corfu Town for example.

Corfu’s private Gouvia Marina is also a popular spot for evening drinks and restaurants. The drive across from Villa Helanes is easy as is the direct road to Paleokastritsa.
